Koreatown Food Guide Favorites
1. Hangari Kalguksu
When the lunchtime line wraps around the block, you know its a good spot. Locals line up for the best Kalguksu in the neighborhood rain or shine, and the hand cut noodles here are worth it! Put your name on the list and walk over to Paris Bakery for a coffee to pass the time, but don’t go too far. The line here moves faster than it looks. Order the Sea Food or Chicken Kalguksu or the Bassam Pork Shoulder Slices.

2. Michin Dak Chicken
When that fried chicken craving strikes, look to none other than this tiny corner lot across from the famous Korean restaurant Dan Sung Sa. My favorite on the menu is the Honey Chicken Sandwich with extra pickles. Honestly, if you don’t know about Korean Fried Chicken yet, do you even know about fried chicken?
3. Sun Nong Dan
Sun Nong Dan has 4 locations in LA and is open 24 hours. Specializing in traditional Korean dishes, the menu items here are savory, big and spicy. Try the Braised Short Ribs or the Beef Brisket Soup.
4. Woo Hyang Woo
Woo Hyang Woo takes pride in their carefully sourced beef for a next level Korean BBQ experience. The patio is very popular in the summer with great drinks and people watching. Order the Marinated Short Rib Tomahawk and a side of Kimchi Cold Noodles.
5. My Thai Kitchen
My Thai Kitchen is a staple restaurant in the heart of Koreatown. The menu is extensive with Traditional Thai Dishes like Green Curry and Papaya Salad. I love this spot for take out, its always fast and super fresh.
6. Kazu Nori
Kazu Nori is a modern restaurant in the Chapman Market plaza. They specialize in Hand Rolls and Sashimi, and it is done right. Simple and delicious. I like to order the pre set menu which is four handrolls; Toro, Yellowtail, NZ Sea Bream and Crab.
7. Iki Ramen
Iki Ramen is a Japanese spot serving Sushi, Ramen and Sake. The plaza here does have parking but do be warned, it fills up fast just like everywhere in Koreatown. Next door is an awesome Brewery where you can grab a drink while waiting for a table at Iki. The atmosphere here is modern, clean and trendy and the Ramen is some of the best in the city.
From sizzling barbecue to hearty stews and innovative fusion dishes, Koreatown offers an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime local, there’s always something new and exciting to try. So grab your chopsticks, and dive into the rich flavors of K-town. No matter what you’re craving, this neighborhood delivers some of the best eats in Los Angeles—one delicious bite at a time. Happy eating from the Koreatown Food Guide!
